Inventor Colin Furze Builds a High Voltage Ejector Bed for People Who Struggle With Getting Up in the Morning

Published by:

British inventor Colin Furze recently built a wild High Voltage Ejector Bed that flips up and dumps the heavy sleeper out onto the floor when an alarm goes off in the morning. The Taylors of Harrogate coffee and tea company asked Furze to build something to get people out of bed, just like their new High Voltage blend coffee, and he surely did not disappoint.

Here is behind-the-scenes footage of Colin building the ejector bed:

These Beautiful Watermelon Patterns Are Driving Everyone Crazy

Published by:

Throughout the internet, commentators have been mystified by the cause of the curious swirls and patterns that they sometimes find inside of watermelons, some even implying that they’re remnants of 17th-century watermelon DNA. The truth behind these strange and beautiful shapes, however, is a little bit simpler.

Most farmers and agricultural scientists believed that “hollow heart” watermelons were caused by under- or over-watering until 2014, when University of Delaware agricultural specialist Gordon Johnson helped prove that the issue actually has to do with improper pollination. Watermelons are sensitive to changes in water/moisture levels, however, and variations can cause a host of other issues as well.

How Disney Princes Would Look In Real Life

Published by:

If you’ve ever wondered what Disney’s princes might have looked like in real life, Jirka Väätäinen, a Finnish artist and designer in Melbourne, has answered that question definitively with his series of real-life Disney prince illustrations. They don’t call him ‘prince charming’ for nothing!

Anyone who had a childhood crush (or still has a crush) on these princes will definitely love them, but even if you don’t it’s interesting to see how they might actually look. Väätäinen stayed true to their original characters while making sure they seem totally life-like and believable.

If you like Väätäinen’s interpretation of Disney’s characters, be sure to visit his website, where he’s given the same treatment to Disney’s iconic princesses and female characters as well!
